Jervis Bay
Jervis Bay is a standout venue for sailors, combining stunning coastal beauty with reliable spring sailing conditions. Its wide, sheltered waters and open access to prevailing sea breezes make it an excellent location for racing in October.
During this time of year, Jervis Bay often experiences light to moderate morning winds, with a developing north-easterly sea breeze through the afternoon, typically building to 10–16 knots.
The bay’s relatively flat water, combined with steady wind patterns, ensures fair and competitive racing, while the surrounding national park and white-sand beaches create a spectacular backdrop for sailors and partners alike.

Jervis Bay Sailing Club
Jervis Bay Sailing Club located at Callala Bay offers ideal conditions for Finn sailing. With a strong race management team, upgraded safety support, and experience hosting major regattas, JBSC is well equipped for high-level competition. Just three hours from Sydney or Canberra, it’s an accessible and proven venue for a quality Finn class event.
Accommodation
Within 1 km of JBSC, you’ll find a wide range of beachside holiday homes—perfect for groups or families. Options like Callala Bay Gem, Time & Tide, and Nautilus offer pet‑friendly, modern interiors, often with outdoor amenities like BBQs and swimming pools. Many are just minutes’ walk to Callala Beach or the boat ramp, with some boasting direct water views and luxury features for up to 10 guests.
Beach and Bay Stay and accommodations at Club Callala present more structured lodging close to the clubhouse and Club Callala facilities. These offer comfortable, 2‑bedroom apartments with ensuite bathrooms, walking distance to Club Callala’s dining, bar, golf, and bowls activities—making them convenient for regatta participants.

Launching
Callala Bay offers excellent launching facilities. The gently sloping and sheltered hard sand shoreline near the club provides an ideal surface for easy boat launching.
A large grassed rigging area directly behind the beach allows for convenient rigging and overnight storage of boats.
The racecourse area is just a short sail from shore, allowing for quick access and minimal delay between launching and starting.
Regatta Dinner
Join us on Saturday evening for a relaxed group dinner with fellow sailors, family, and supporters. The venue will be nearby and confirmed closer to the event, but expect a casual setting with good food, drinks, and a chance to catch up after a day on the water. All welcome—details to follow.
